The trailer for the film ‘Bawaal’, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, was released on Sunday. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film promises an intense love story between Ajay Dixit and Nisha set against the backdrop of a war in Europe. The highly anticipated trailer was launched in Dubai.
The trailer introduces Varun Dhawan as Ajju Bhaiya, a teacher who is image-conscious and falls in love with Nisha. Ajay is determined to marry her and plans a honeymoon trip to Europe. However, their honeymoon turns into a war zone.
Prior to the trailer release, the makers had unveiled the teaser and a song from the film, which received mixed reactions. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Bawaal’ has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work in the film ‘Dangal’. Originally scheduled for a theatrical release in October, the makers announced that the film will now have an OTT release on July 21.
Director Nitesh Tiwari revealed that the crew shot across three locations in India and five European countries for the film. Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer, stated that ‘Bawaal’ is a special project for him and one of his most ambitious ones. He expressed his joy in producing the film and praised Nitesh Tiwari’s direction, along with the performances of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. The producer also announced that the film will have its worldwide premiere on Prime Video in July.
