The first story – According to Narada Purana, a demon named Hiranyakashyap occurred in ancient times. The king of demons considered himself superior to God. He wanted people to worship him alone. But his son Prahlad was very devoted to Vishnu. Bhakti inherited from his mother.
Hiranyakashipu was very worried about how his son Vishnu became a minister. And how to get him out of the way of devotion. According to the story of Holi (Holi ki Katha), when Hiranyakashipu asked his son to renounce Vishnu’s devotion but even after tireless efforts he could not succeed.
Even after several explanations, when Prahlad disobeyed, Hiranyakaship considered killing his own son. Despite many attempts, he failed to kill Prahlad. As a result of repeated efforts, Hiranyakashyap became furious.
After this, he took the help of his sister Holika who had found such a sheet in Lord Shankar when the fire could not burn him when he was covered. It was decided that Prahlad would live with Holika and be killed in Agnin.
Holika covered her bed with Prahlad on her lap and sat on the fire. But thanks to Vishnu’s miracle, the sheet flew to Prahlad, which saved Prahlad’s life and burned the Catholic Church. After this Holika Dahan is set on fire the night before Holi.
Second Story – Another myth is associated with Shiva and Parvati. Parvati, the daughter of the Himalayas, wanted her to marry Lord Shiva, but Shiva was focused on her remorseful actions. Kamdev assisted Parvati and shot his flower arrow. King Shiva’s remorse was dispelled. Shiva became very angry and opened his third eye. Komdev was consumed by the flames of his rage. Then Shiva saw Parvati and the worship of Parvati flourished. Shivji accepted him as his mouthpiece. Therefore, on the basis of this myth, celebrating the triumph of true love with symbolic heat is the attraction of the flesh in the fire of Holi.
Story 3 – There is a SPIRIT that killed Kamsa was born in Gokul. So Kansa ordered the execution of all children born in Gokul on this day. Kansa, terrified by this Akashvani, also planned to kill his nephew Krishna and for this reason he used a demon called Pootana. Pootna could take any form he wanted. Taking a good stand, he killed many babies by sucking a poisonous breast. He then went to Bal Krishna but Krishna knew his truth and killed Pootna. It was the day of Phalgun Purnima, so Holi began celebrating at the Pootnavadh festival.
